The Most Important Tip For A Canadian Living In The U.S.

I’ve lived in both Canada and the US.

In Canada, whole milk is called homo milk.

I swear.  Fact.

Canadians call it Homo Milk.

In America, whole milk is called whole milk.

Picture me now walking into a Target store in Mountain View, California.

Asking the male associate if they had homo milk.

Homo.

Milk.

There’s your tip.

I'm straight but really? It's actually super good.

  • Kym

Now that is funny….almost as funny as when I tell the Brits I fossicked on their desk (it means rummaged in ‘Australian’ haha

  • Wonder how that homo milk taste-like? Haha!

  • Homo is for Homogenized milk. I bet Americans can’t say Homogenized. Or homo. As to why they call it whole. lol.

  • Is there any correlation between homo milk and measuring in centimeters? Coincidence?! I think not…

  • it tastes thick and creamy

  • Regan Fletcher

even better is that if you want more than a liter (i.e. litre) it comes in a bag. Imagine going into the Safeway on Market Street in the Castro and asking “Excuse me Mr. Safeway man, where do I find a bag of homo?”

  • Does homo milk turn sour on you without warning? I bet it’s got quite an after taste.
